Yonder 2020 was a blast. We saw local Brisbane acts reach new heights, spectacular sets from our interstate and international acts. A more positive, supportive, inclusive atmosphere than we’d ever experienced before. Most importantly, a culture was created. A culture of pushing the envelope with one hand and leading a friend with the other. A culture of innovation, encouragement and commitment to the moment.

With Yonder 2021, we hope to build on this culture and welcome you to author the next chapter. We’re excited to introduce you to more of the weird and wonderful acts and performances that we relish in presenting, exploring more of the magical nooks within our wonderful site. Above all, we’re excited to stand at the gate with nervous anticipation as you all return for the next part of the story. At Yonder 2021, we’re not doing it again - we’re doing what’s next.

This year, we’re rethinking the festival experience in the time of a pandemic. Our comprehensive QLD Health Covidsafe plan, providing the guidelines for us to hold the festival this year. We’re connecting with our eyes, our hearts and our words, and leaving our embraces for another time to allow us this opportunity now. Awaken your senses and ignite human connections. More information on Covidsafe practices here - www.yonderfestival.com/covid-19

Yonder acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work; in particular the Kabi Kabi peoples whose country is where our festival now stands. We understand that creativity and art have played and continues to play a very important role on these lands since time immemorial.

The festival will run from Thursday afternoon 25th - late Saturday night 27th of November 2021.
