A free webinar for parents and carers.


Join this practical and supportive online session from Sydney Drug Education and Counselling Centre (SDECC), delivered in partnership with Willoughby Council.

This webinar is designed to help parents and carers feel more confident having conversations with their young person about alcohol, vaping and other drugs, and to better understand where to find support.

Topics covered include:

  • current trends and pressures affecting young people
  • recognising signs that may indicate concern
  • how to start open, supportive conversations
  • harm minimisation and practical safety strategies
  • where parents and carers can access support
  • anonymous Q&A

This session is presented by Clinical Psychologist Dominique Robert-Hendren. Dominique has extensive experience in mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatments and is CEO of Sydney Drug Education and Counselling Centre (SDECC) for children and young people.

This is a free live online webinar and attendance is anonymous and confidential. Multilingual closed captions will be available via Zoom, and downloadable e-resources will be provided in English and Mandarin.
