On Sensory-Friendly Days our new exhibitions and activity areas will be open extra early for a quieter experience and modified to suit people on the Autism spectrum and visitors with a range of differing abilities.
Our trained staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist with access and facilitate creative activities. Sensory Friendly sessions also include exclusive before or after hours access to a museum vessel (see program below for details).

For our Winter sessions, we're offering early access to the museum galleries including Treasures of the Viking Age-the Galloway Hoard, submarine HMAS Onslow, an Underwater drones workshop (suitable for visitors 7+ years) and our activity areas such as Kids on Deck maker space for Sensory-Friendly guests.
In school holidays, all activity areas that are part of the daily holiday program are open to Sensory Friendly guests.
