Workbench for the Mind
Suzi Evans is an Advocate, Author and Facilitator will share with us how the benefits of positive psychology and wellbeing and how on a professional and personal level we can be masters of our mindset. Suzi lives on a sheep property in the Murray Mallee and has lived personal experience when in 2018 she faced unimaginable heartbreak when her son Murray ("Muzz") tragically took his own life, just shy of his 30th birthday. Channelling her grief into purpose, Suzi discovered positive psychology and wellbeing, which became the cornerstone of her mission to support others navigating mental health challenges and loss.
Suzi is a certified Mental Health First Aid Trainer, a member of the Suicide Prevention Australia SA regional committee, Agri futures SA Rural Women’s award 2024 state finalist and the founder of Workbench for the Mind - an accredited program with Suicide Prevention Australia. With a Diploma in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing, Suzi has worked with leading organisations and government agencies.
EML and RTWSA in 2025/2026
Hear from Jarrad Wegener, General Manager of EML South Australia, who will provide helpful insights into the health of the return to work scheme in South Australia, its current and future focus and the role that EML plays.
Jarrad started his career in the industry as a case manager at EML back in 2008 and worked through the organisation to Employer Engagement roles. Through his career in personal injury he has managed all areas of claims and the supporting functions of processing, capability and customer service, across both South Australia and Victoria, for various different organisations including holding senior management roles at RTWSA and finally returning to EML as the General Manager in 2024. Jarrad’s focus is on creating a positive environment for building the capability of his people so they can provide a more positive experience during the management and complexity of workplace injury for all South Australians.
