The Canning Agricultural, Horticultural & Recreational Society (CAHRS) is a dedicated not-for-profit organisation and community cornerstone, proudly bringing people together in the Canning area since 1909.We are the proud organisers behind the iconic, annual Canning Show, a beloved event celebrating tradition, local agriculture, and community talent. We manage the Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds.With strong historical roots and a future-focused spirit, CAHRS delivers events and experiences year-round. The grounds are a vital community asset that provides inspiring spaces for hundreds of events, workshops, and cultural experiences annually. A fun-packed film fundraising event pledging all proceeds to charity organisation 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗔𝗶𝗱 to help communities recover from the recent devastating fires, Movies For Wooroloo is presented by recent Community Citizen Of The Year Awards recipients 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 on 𝘚𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘺 27 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 at 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 &amp; 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀.𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 2 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, each featuring an award-winning modern classic fit for all ages; 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲 session running 2-5pm or 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗠𝗮𝗻: 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 in the 6-9pm Session. Plus, across each Session enjoy a range of entertainment, activities, food and drink and fundraising fun before and during the film screenings.BlazeAid is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation generously working to assist those affected by the recent Wooroloo and related bushfire damage, and all proceeds raised from Movies For Wooloroo will go directly to them to help boost their efforts. Movies screen in the latter part of the Sessions (approx. 1hr after doors open).𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗗: Limited free seating for VIP ticket holders and early arrivals. Free parking on showgrounds. Snack and drink options for all ages, including coffee and treats van, Sausage Sizzle held by the Station Street Men’s Shed, popcorn etc.𝗕𝗬𝗢: Beanbags, picnic blankets or seating. Dress-ups encouraged! Working alongside the rural families, their volunteers help to rebuild fences and other structures that have been damaged or destroyed. Since 2009 they have been responsible for:•	Properties helped: 10,510•	Fences Cleared: 15,050•	Fences Rebuilt: 14,473•	Total Volunteers 31,750•	Volunteer Days Contributed 318,308<h2>𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪 &amp; 𝗖𝗔𝗛𝗥𝗦: </h2>Committed to enriching the community for over 110 years, not-for-profit organisation Canning Agricultural, Horticultural &amp; Recreational Society (aka CAHRS) runs, facilitates and provides a home to 100s of events, activities, workshops and classes a year, most of them held at our venue, Cannington Exhibition Centre &amp; Showgrounds. Canning Show is our key annual event, powered by volunteers and featuring everything from fireworks to diverse entertainment and thrills, inspiring activities and one of the state's largest exhibitions, providing a community celebration and showcase like none other. 2020 certainly had its global challenges, but a record-breaking Canning Show saw over 12,500 people filling Cannington Exhibition Centre &amp; Showgrounds with smiles.
