You will work with Earthenware clay to create a few creative pieces. You have the choice to create your own pieces. During this beginner-friendly workshop and art class, you’ll learn basic skills like hatching, sticking together and shaping forms and will sculpt using Earthenware pottery clay. We will do an introduction with our artist instructing a demo at the front and receive one-on-one guidance and assistance as needed, so you can make some great pieces to take home and display with pride!

All the materials for your unique pottery piece will be supplied. At the end of the class, you will return home with your own self-made masterpiece.

The studio is byo drinks and food for the city venue. We have plastic cups, and glassware and cutlery is also byo if required.

Our City Professional Pottery studio has All Fired up Kiln Firing services as optional extra, we also have full ceramic pottery painting sessions also available for the full service experience.

Covid Safe Plan: Social spacing in place. Aprons will no longer be provided, however available for purchase in advance.

Minimum 7 people required to run sessions. Bookings in advance are essential. We rarely ever cancel, however in this case we will advise if we request a rescheduled day and time.

- Week days, Monday 4pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3pm

The city studio is byo drinks and food, at uptown (myer centre) studio sessions. The centre is renamed uptown, we are on level 1, with 6 x studios, you will be advised of your studio space closer to the booking day.

The clay is creative session where we give you ideas sheets of what to make. yes you can put in requests

Your given a cardboard tray to take your clay creations away on the day, however, In Brisbane city, uptown studio, we do have a firing service which is $15 per person per half tray, that would be paid on the day for whoever wants this service

If you get your piece fired. We also have ceramic paint and sip sessions, public sessions run 7 days a week only $15 earlybird tix, plus additional $15 per piece for final glaze firing. If you wish to take your pieces all the way through the pottery process. This can be done on an individual basis to book in on sessions. The pieces need to be fired to do the painting sessions, or we do have pre-made fired pieces to paint from $25 including the final firing

Private Functions Important notes

Yes we do small group private functions for all size groups under 12 people is equal to $468 total, which is the same price as 12 people at $39 per person as per the price tier

We offer kiln firing, aprons, and platter orders with up to 7 different type of platters suitable for 10 people at $145. Catering Available with platters from $14.50 per person for 10 people
