Birds of Plenty Gorge - Morang Wetlands
Join a Parks Victoria volunteer-led bird walk through the Morang Wetlands at Plenty Gorge Park.
Come and enjoy a morning walk through the beautiful Morang Wetlands at Plenty Gorge Park. Learn more about this unique section of the park with our friendly and knowledgeable volunteer guides. Discover the large variety of birds that call Plenty Gorge home and learn about the habitat that supports them.
Whether this walk is a once-off exploration or a new part of your fitness and wellbeing routine, you are free to relax and enjoy what walk has to offer.
The approx. 4 km walk is an easy, beginner level walk and takes around 1.5-2 hours to complete. Expected terrain is mostly even with some moderate escarpments over bitumen, gravel and grass.
Please note the following:
- Bookings are essential.
- Meet at Red Gum Picnic Area Carpark (listed as Hawkstowe Recreation Reserve in google maps)
- This event may be cancelled at the last minute due to extreme weather conditions.
- You will be emailed if the event is cancelled.
- In the event that your circumstances change, and you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your ticket (instructions below) so our guide is aware and does not wait for you to arrive. This will enable another person to attend, as there is often a waitlist for this event.
