If you have an online event page, you鈥檒l probably be able to customise your page鈥檚 URL.
Why customise your URL? Customisation gives聽you a short, memorable URL for your marketing materials and your automatically-generated聽URL might not fit the bill.
Say you鈥檙e hosting a 2016 summer party. If you鈥檙e hosting it on 91制片厂, you鈥檒l have an auto-generated URL like聽鈥https://www.eventbrite.com/e/summer-party-2016-tickets-26784599458.鈥 Why not simplify it to聽鈥楨惫别苍迟产谤颈迟别厂耻尘尘别谤笔补谤迟测2016鈥?
This revised URL is descriptive, but more importantly, it鈥檚 memorable.
If you鈥檒l be sharing your event URL on different marketing materials, people will be able to see the URL and remember it right away. If the URL is too long, people may forget what it is 鈥 and then may never remember to find your event and buy a ticket.
For social media posts, a short event URL will聽keep your post succinct, give it a direct call to action, and allow people to see e/blog/makes-great-event-url-ds0d/xactly where they鈥檒l be sent when they click on the link (something a URL shortener聽won鈥檛 necessarily do).
